On September 23, 2025, the STEAM Team tabled at Liberty High School’s Student Success Night in Globe, Arizona. Team members connected with students and families to share resources and information about the STEAM in Action program, highlighting the Youth and Community Advisory Boards. The infrared camera was used for hands-on demonstrations to spark curiosity and interest in science and technology through thermal imaging. Other community partners who joined include the Arizona Youth Partnership, Arizona Works, the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Financial Literacy Program, Gila County Public Health, the Homeless Coalition of Gila County, and more!
Conversations continued with Liberty High School leadership about how STEAM in Action can support their students in formal and informal science education, as well as about the possibility of hosting an adult training for their staff! We can’t wait to see what’s to come as we continue to build this partnership!
